Raw banana rice roti

Method
  1. Wash the raw banana and cook it in a pressure cooker with enough water and without removing the skin.
  2. Cook till 2-3 whistles. Allow it to cool and peel the skin.
  3. Mash the banana into a fine paste.
  4. Mix all the other ingredients in a large bowl.
  5. Add the banana paste and enough water to make a batter which is thicker then idli/dosa batter.
  6. Spread oil on a thick-bottomed tava and spread the batter with your hands.
  7. Add a little oil along the sides.
  8. Cook covered for 2-3 mins. Reverse the sides and cook covered again.
  9. Serve hot with chutney. This dish is also called Baalekaayi akki roti

Tips: Potatoes can be used instead of raw banana.

Ingredients:
1 cup - Fine rice flour
1 - Raw banana
1 tsp - Jeera/cumin seeds
5-6 - Green chillies
1 tsp - Chopped coriander
1 pinch - Asafoetida (hing)
1 tsp - Grated ginger
Salt to taste
