Ridge gourd subzi

Method
  1. Heat oil in a pan and temper cumin seeds.
  2. Add onion, saute for a few minutes; then add tomato.
  3. Add all the spice powder and ridge gourd.
  4. Add a little water and cook till it reaches desired consistency.
  5. Check for salt and garnish with coriander.

Ingredients:
2 cups - ridge gourd - peeled and cubed
1/2 - onion, chopped fine
1/2 cup - tomato, finely chopped
2 tsp - cumin seeds
1 tsp - turmeric powder
1 tbsp - coriander powder
1/2 tbsp - cumin powder
1/4 tsp - garam masala
Chilli powder, as required
Coriander for garnishing
Oil and salt
