Tomato kadhi

Method

For the pakoda:

  1. In a bowl, mix besan flour, hot oil, salt and water mix well and make.
  2. Pour the small balls of besan in the hot oil and deep fry the pakodas.

For the kadhi:

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan.
  2. Add cumin, when it crackles, add a pinch of asafoetida.
  3. Add the tomato puree.
  4. Add the spices, salt, sugar and mix well.
  5. Add 1 cup water and 1 tsp besan flour mixed in water.
  6. Let it cook, add the pakodas and coriander leaves.
  7. Enjoy with rice.
Ingredients:
250g ripe red tomatoes
100g besan flour
1 tsp red chillipowder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
Salt as per taste
A pinch of asafoetida
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp sugar
1 cup coriander leaves
Oil for cooking
