By : Premlata NambiarWash and deseed the Karela and chop it very fine.
Add salt to it and remove the water.
Put oil in kadai and fry Karela till golden brown.
Make a paste of grated coconut, green chillies and mustard seeds.
Add this paste to the fried karela and mix well.
Add curd to this.. add salt if required and mix well. Do not make it very watery.
Heat Oil in Pan add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds when they splutter add the curry leaves and pour it in the karela pachadi..
You may have this with Chapati and Rice as a side dish
Karela's i.e. Bittergourd - 2 Nos
Green Chillies - 6 - 10 Nos (You can add the chillies as per your
taste)
Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Curd - 1/2 cup
Curry leaves - few
Salt
Oil
