Method
In a kadai head oil, fry all the seeds
Once done, add the brinjal pieces and turmeric.
Mix well and cover with a lid.
Cook till brinjal becomes tender.
Make a paste of coconut, green chillies and ginger.
Add this paste to the brinjal pieces
Add salt and mix well
Brinjal curry is ready.
This tastes best with hot rice.

1/4 kg - brinjal
5 to 6 - green chillies
1 tsp - chana dal
1 tsp - urad dal
1/4 tsp - jeera
1 tsp - mustard seeds
pinch - hing
1/4 tsp - turmaric
3 tbsp - oil
1/2 - fresh coconut
1 tsp - ginger paste
salt as per taste
