Palak and Red Lentil Curry

Method
  1. Put soaked and washed red lentil in the cooker.
  2. Add the cut palak/spinach,
  3. add salt to taste, turmeric
  4. close the pressure cooker lid and cook
  5. Close cooker after 1 whistle.
  6. In the mean time, grind the grated cocunut, jeera, red chilli powder into a fine paste.
  7. Add this into the cooker and mix well.
  8. Allow it to boil for a minute.
  9. In a kadai, pour oil, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, 2 whole red chilli.
  10. Pour this over the dal curry.
  11. Taste salt if less add as per requirements
Ingredients:
1 cup - red lentil (wash and soak in water for 15 minutes)
2 handful - cut palak or spinach
1/4 cup - grated coconut
1/2 tsp - jeera
1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
1/4 tsp - turmeric
1/2 - red onion
1 tbsp - oil
1/4 tsp - mustard, currry leaves
salt to taste
2 - whole red chillis
