Method
- Soak rice in water for 15 minutes.
- Heat ghee. Roast almonds and set aside.
- In the same pan, add rinsed rice and fry for a minute. add 1 cup of water, cardamom, coconut, saffron, cloves and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Simmer and cover with a lid and cook till the rice is 90% done (approximately 10 minutes).
- Add sugar and condensed milk and mix everything well and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Garnish with roasted nuts.
Note: Condensed milk can be replaced with regular milk for a lighter version of this rice.
