Method
- In a non stick, heat some oil (ghee/butter) and add the onions.
- Saute them for a 1 min, add ginger garlic paste , chillies (if using) and saute some more till the onions get transluscent.
- Add all the spices along with salt and bay leaf and saute them for 2-3min.
- Add the Potatoes and cook for another 2-3 min.
- Add the tomatoes, stir for another 1 min and add a cup of water and close the lid and cook for 4-5 min.
- Add the peas and cook some till all the water has been absorbed and potatoes are tender.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve with Indian Breads or with rice.

Ingredients:
1 cup - peas
2 - potatoes, cubed (i usually dont like to peel the skin and so i have not done so for this dish. but you can peel the potatoes before dicing them)
1 - medium onion, sliced
2 - small tomatoes, chopped
1 tbsp - ginger garlic paste ( mine got over, so used some fresh garlic and ginger)
1/2 tsp - cinnamon powder
2 to 3 - green chillies (as per taste)
1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
1/2 tsp - coriander-cumin powder
1 - bay leaf
a handful - cilantro
salt to taste
