Potato Bonda

Method
  1. Boil the potatoes, peel off the skin and mash them.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a kadai. Add the onions and saute them.
  3. Add the green chillies, potato and peas and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Make small balls of the potato mixture.
  5. Make a thick paste of the gram flour, rice flour, asafoetida and salt.
  6. Dip the potato balls in the batter and deep fry in oil.
  7. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
Ingredients:
4 - potato
1 cup - finely sliced onion
1 cup - boiled peas
4 - green chillies
1 cup - gram flour
1 cup - rice flour
a pinch of asafoetida
salt to taste
oil to fry
