Dal and Paneer Croquettes

Method
  1. Wash and soak the dal in water for 2 hours.
  2. Drain and grind to a stiff, smooth paste, using just a couple of table spoons of water.
  3. Mix in rest of the ingredients except the oil.
  4. Shape into tiny croquettes and deep fry in moderately hot oil till golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve hot with mint chutney.

Yield:15 to 20 Mini Croquettes

Ingredients:
1 cup - Bengal gram (chana) dal
1 tsp - cumin seeds, crushed
2 - green chilies, minced
2 tsp - ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp - mint leaves, chopped
1 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
1/2 cup - onion, minced
1/2 tsp - garam masala powder
1/2 tsp - chaat masala
1/2 cup - grated paneer
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry
