Method
  1. Rinse and soak basmathi rice in water for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil and ghee in a pan.
  3. Temper cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf and jeera.
  4. When they crackle, add onions and green chillies.
  5. Fry till onions turn golden brown.
  6. Throw in peas and fry for a minute.
  7. Switch off the gas.
  8. For 1 cup of rice, add 2 cups of water, fried onions and peas, salt and cook in the rice cooker.

1/2 cup - frozen peas
2 (1 inch sticks) - cinnamon
5 - cloves
1/2 tsp - jeera
1 - bay leaf
1 or 2 - green chillies
1/2 cup - onions, chopped
cilantro for garnishing
2 tbsp - ghee(clarified butter)
1 tbsp - oil
