Mix flour into milk without lumps.
In a pan heat one tea spoon of oil , add mustard seeds after they splutter add garlic pods (if the pods are big you can cut into 2 or 3
Then add pieces of red chillies and onion once the onions are transparent, add chopped greens and salt. Once greens are done , add flour mixed milk and let it boil for around 3 or 4 mins. (if you think the gravy is too thick, you can add some water or milk. Serve with Rice and Papad.
Hope you like it as it is simple and gives you a break from all masalas. A good opportunity to taste American greens. I never use spinach for this dish.
Wash and Finely chop the greens
(One variety of greens, I use 4 to 5 leaves of kale or collard greens or
mustard greens)
2 to 3 dried Red Chillies (if not 1/4th tsp of red chilli powder Tastes
good with whole red chillies)
2 to 3 pods of Garlic
2 tsp Rice Flour or Ragi Flour
1 glass of Milk
Finely chopped one Onion
Salt to taste.
