Aloo Mutter Masala

    Boil potatoes and cut them into cubes. Boil peas seperately. Grind coconut, cashew nuts and tomato into a fine paste. Chop onions finely. Splutter cumin seeds and add ginger garlic paste. Fry the paste till oil seperates and add onion. Fry onion till golden brown, add chilli power, garam masala powder, salt, and turmeric powder. Add the boiled potatoes, and the coconut paste and let boil. Add water according to the required consistency. Cook for ten minutes and serve with rice, roti or naan.
potato - 4, large
peas - 200 g
grated coconut - 5 to 6 tbsp
cashew nuts - 5 to 6
tomato - 1 large
onion - 2 large
ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
garam masala powder - 1/4 tbsp
turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
cumin seeds - 1 tsp
salt to taste
