Mutter Paneer

Method
  1. Deep fry the paneer pieces till golden and keep aside.
  2. Lightly heat oil in a heavy bottomed vessel and saute onions and green chillies on a low flame till the onions are golden.
  3. Add the tomatoes, ginger and salt.
  4. Cook on a low flame till the tomatoes are soft.
  5. Add the powdered masalas and cook till oil separates.
  6. Remove from gas and blend the onion tomato mixture.
  7. Add the green peas and saute on a low flame for 8 to 1o minutes.
  8. Add water and cook on a low flame till the peas are done.
  9. Add the paneer pieces and simmer for few minutes.
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice.
Ingredients:
250 gms - paneer (cut into cubes)
200 gms - green peas (peeled)
5 tbsp - oil
3 - medium sized onions (finely chopped)
2 - green chillies (finely chopped)
4 - medium sized tomatoes (finely chopped)
1 inch piece - ginger (crushed)
1 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
2 tsp - coriander powder
1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
2 cups - water
Oil for deep frying
Finely chopped coriander leaves (to garnish)
Salt to taste
