Sun-dried tomato chutney

Method
  1. Mix chopped tomatoes with salt and turmeric powder and leave it to soak overnight.
  2. The next day squeeze the tomatoes, keep aside the squeezed tomato juice.
  3. Dry the tomato pulp in the sun.
  4. Soak tamarind in the tomato juice.
  5. In the evening grind the dried tomatoes, garlic, chilly powder, tamarind water, salt to a paste.
  6. Add the seasoning. Mix well.
  7. Store in airtight containers.
Ingredients:
1/2 kg - tomatoes
25 g - tamarind
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
1/2 cup - chilli powder

For seasoning:
1 tsp - urad dal
1 tsp - bengal gram
5 - 6 - red chillies
A few curry leaves
10 - 12 - garlic pods
