Method
  1. Peel and cut potatoes into quarters.
  2. Soak the poshto in slightly warm water for 20 minutes.
  3. Grind it along with green chillies, ginger, garlic and salt to a fine taste.
  4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and semi-fry the potatoes on a medium flame.
  5. Keep aside. Heat 4 tbsp oil in a pan.
  6. Add onions and sauté on a low flame till transparent.
  7. Add the poshto paste, turmeric powder and sauté the mixture on a low flame for a few minutes.
  8. Add the fried potatoes and mix well.
  9. Keep covered on a low flame for 15-20 minutes, mixing at regular intervals, so that the potatoes are well covered with poshto mixture.
  10. Serve hot with rotis.
Ingredients:
½ kg - potatoes
200 g - poshto (khus khus)
4 - green chillies
5 to 6 - cloves garlic
1 - inch piece ginger
sufficient oil for frying the potatoes
4 tbsp - oil
2 - medium size onions (finely chopped)
¼ tsp - turmeric powder
salt to taste
