Munakkewali Chane Ki Dal

Method
  1. Boil the dal with salt till tender.
  2. Each grain of the dal most be soft and separate. Heat oil.
  3. Add the garam masala and pour over the dal.
  4. Fry small cubes of coconut and put in the dal.
  5. Add the raisins and 2-3 slit green chillies.
  6. Simmer till well done.
  7. Serve with puris.
Ingredients:
1 cup Bengal gram (chana dal), soaked in water for 2 hours
½ coconut, cut into small pieces
10 raisins
2/3 green chillies
Oil as needed
Salt to taste

For garam masala:
2 bay leaves
1 tsp. ground red chillies
2.5 cm ginger
1 tsp. cummin seed powder
