Ingredients: 1 cup tur dal
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
4 dry dates (kharak), seed removed and chopped
1 tsp jaggery powdered
5 pieces kokam, soaked
1 tsp lemon juice

2 Drumsticks cut into desired size
4 green chillies, slit lengthwise
Salt to taste
Fresh green coriander leaves to garnish
For tadka:
3 tbsp ghee
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp coriander seeds crushed
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp dried kasoori methi
1 bay leaf
2 sprigs curry leaves
2 cloves
2-inch piece cinnamon
A big pinch asafoetida powder.
