Cabbage and Potato Bhaji

Method
  1. Chop cabbage finely. Peel and cut potato into � cm dice. Chop onion finely.
  2. Grind green chillies, garlic and ginger together.
  3. Combine all the vegetables, sprinkle a little salt.
  4. Add ground paste and cook covered till soft. (Do not add water. The vegetables will cook in their own juices).
  5. Add turmeric and chilli powders, sugar and more salt if needed. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Beat the curds till smooth, add to the vegetables, mix well and remove from fire.
  7. Serve as am accompaniment to rice based meal or with chapathis.

Serves: 4 to 6

� kg - cabbage
350 g - potato
250 g - onion
2 cup - curds
4 - green chillies, chopped
a small piece - ginger
6 cloves - garlic
� tsp - turmeric powder
1 tsp - chilli powder
1 tsp - sugar
salt to taste
