  1. Lightly roast all the ingredients except ginger and garlic (separately).
  2. Grind all the ingredients to paste.
  3. Cut mutton into small pieces and wash well.
  4. Slightly fry mutton in a little oil and keep aside.
  5. In the remaining oil fry the remaining sliced onions to a golden brown colour.
  6. Add ground masala and fry little longer.
  7. Add turmeric and saut´┐Żed meat ,some water and salt to taste.
  8. Cook on a slow fire and let the gravy remain thick.cook till meat is tender.

5g - coriander seeds
2g - cumin
10g - ginger
10g - garlic
100g - onions
10g - sesame/til seeds
10g - khus khus
20g - dry coconut
4 - cloves
4 - peppercorns
1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
15g - red chillies
Salt to taste
100 ml - oil
