Dabal Ja Bhajiya (Bread Fried in Gram Flour Batter)

Method
  1. Make a batter by mixing the gram flour with the salt, red chili powder, soda, coriander leaves and a sufficient amount of water.
  2. Apply green chutney between two slices of bread and cut them diagonally.
  3. Dip each piece in the prepared batter and deep fry till golden.
  4. Serve with tomato sauce or Khatti Mithi (sweet and sour pickle).
Ingredients:
10 slices - bread
5 tbsp - green chutney

For the Batter:
1 1/2 cups - gram flour
2 tsp - red chili powder
a large pinch cooking soda
2 tbsp - coriander leaves (finely chopped)
sufficient water to make a batter
oil for deep frying
salt to taste
