Kande Ja Bhajiya (Onion Fritters)

Method
  1. Finely chop the onions and green chilies and to this add the gram flour, salt, oil, red chili powder and sufficient water to make a thick batter.
  2. Now heat the oil for deep frying and put in medium-sized portions of the batter.
  3. Fry on a high flame for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove from the gas, let it cool and then break into smaller portions.
  5. Before you serve, deep fry again in heated oil, this time on a medium flame.
  6. This gives you the desired crisp double fried taste.
  7. Serve with green chutney.
Ingredients:
2 cups - gram flour
3 - medium sized onions (finely chopped)
5 - green chillies (finely chopped)
2 tbsp - oil
1 ½ tsp - red chili powder
sufficient water to make the batter
oil for deep frying
salt to taste
