Method
- Soak the chick pea in water for about 8 hours and cook in a pressure cooker upto 3 whistles.
- Roast coriander seeds, red chillies, cinnamon, clove and fennel without oil in a heavy pan and turn off the stove
- Finally add the grated cocunut and roast.
- Allow to cool and grind with water to fine paste.
- Cut the onion & tomato and put the same in a blender and run it once to make a paste.
- In a pressure cooker, add 2 tsp of oil, add curry leaves, onion-tomato paste and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked chick pea & ground paste, salt and stir.
- Again cook up to 1 whisle. Add fresh coriander.
- It goes well with chapathi, dosa and rice.
