Payer Upperi (Long Beans, Kerala Style)

Method
  1. Cut cow peas into 3 cm long pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  3. When they splutter add chilies.
  4. After few seconds add curry leaves and onion.
  5. Fry till onion is brown.
  6. Add cow peas and salt. Mix well.
  7. Add � cup of water and cook covered on a low flame till the vegetable is soft and water is dried up.
  8. Add coconut, mix well and remove from fire.

Ingredients:
cow peas (long/snake beans) - � kg
grated coconut - � cup
oil - 1 tbsp
mustard seeds - � tsp
cumin seeds - � tsp
dry red chilies - 4, broken into pieces
onion - � cup, chopped
curry leaves - few
salt to taste
