Method
  1. Wash and soak the rice and dal separatelt for about 6 hour.
  2. Drain and grind rice coarsely and the dal till it is light and frothy.
  3. Mix together dal, rice, soda and little water, salt and set aside whole night.
  4. Steam and serve with sambhar poured over the top.
Ingredients:
1 cup - urad dal
2 cups - rice
salt according to taste
a pinch of soda
