Method
  1. Put dal, onion, tomato, chilles, garlic and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  2. Then strain the dal and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a vessel, add mustard, fenugreek, ural dal and curry leaves.
  4. Pour the strained dal, salt and tamarind, add dal water if necessary.
  5. Bring to boil and add coriander leaves.
  6. This sambar is easy to prepare in the mornings for idlis, dosa and pongal.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup - toor dal
1/2 - onion
1/2 - tomato
2 - green chillies
4 - garlic
tamarind
coriander leaves

To splutter:
mustard
fenugreek
arud
curry leaves
