Method-
Cut cabbage, wash bengal gram dal and put both together in pressure cooker along with all the ingredients like chopped onion, tomatoe, green chilly, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder, salt, asafoetida. Mix all the contents well and pour required water.

Boil it for some 20 minutes, now add grated coconut and mix them well.

Cabbage curry is ready to be served. It can be served with rice.
Note: Chop onions and tomatoes first and peel off the skin from ginger and garlic and keep other ingredients ready.
Optional: Seasoning can be done like spluttering mustard, curry leaves.
