Method
- Heat oil in a kadai/pan, add mustard seeds and allow to splutter.
- Add channa dal and urad dal and fry till brown.
- Add finely chopped vegetables and stir for half a minute.
- Add one cup oats and stir again for half a minute, then add required salt and pepper powder.
- Finally, add 2 cups of water and stir on a low flame.
- When oats is done in three minutes switch off and top with coriander/dhania leaves.
- Serve hot - keeps you going for three hours as it is very filling!
