Tumbler idli

Method
  1. Soak rice and chana dal together.
  2. soak urad dal separately for an hour.
  3. Grind them separately.
  4. Mix both the doughs thoroughly adding salt.
  5. Keep them aside for about 6 hrs.
  6. At the time of preparation, grind chillies, ginger and cumin seeds together and add to the dough.
  7. Add grated coconut to the dough.
  8. Grease tumblers with oil.
  9. Fill half of the tumblers with dough and now steam them in an idli cooker.
  10. When done remove idlis from tumblers.
  11. This goes well with green chutney.

Ingredients:
1/2 kg - rice
100g - chana dal
100g - urad dal
3 nos - chilli
a small piece ginger
salt to taste
1 tsp - cumin seeds
1/2 - grated coconut
