Method
Make a dough of rice flour and diluted milk without lumps. Mix yellow colour while kneading; make balls and keep aside.
Mix grated coconut, sugar, cardamom powder in a heavy-bottomed pan.
Add khoya and stir on a low flame.
Allow to cool.
Stuff the prepared coconut khoya mixture in the balls.
Fold in the edges so that it is tapering at the centre.
Now steam-cook the modaks in a cooker for 5 minutes or until done.
Decorate with chopped pistachio.
Refrigerate for half an hour and serve.

Ingredients:
1&1/2 cups rice flour, roasted
2- 3 drops yellow colour
1/2 cup hot milk diluted with 1/4th cup water
3 tsp oil
1/4th cup coconut
2 cups sugar, powdered
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/4th cup khoya
