Potato+ Onion curry is a very popular curry and is very useful in a large number of other dishes.. you can have it as a side dish with chapati or poori or rava dosa or as a stuffing in masala dosa, a sandwich, in aloo bondas etc.. The way to make is like this: you boil, peel and mash potatoes and keep aside.. then grind into a fine paste a mix of cilantro leaves, green chillies, karepak, and ginger and keep aside.. you take some cooking oil in a kadai, heat it, add black mustard seeds, jeera, haldi powder, and the paste of green chillies, wait for a minute then add the cut peices of onion into it and allow the onion to cook; when the onion is fully cooked, add the boiled and mashed potatoes, mix thoroughly, turn off the heat, add the salt and the lime juice ... mix thoroughly and EAT ! (It would be so tasty that you can eat it just like that ! simply !) Note: I grind the chillies etc., to a paste so that when you use the curry to stuff in sandwitches, they dont come in the way of complete eating ( some people dont like to chew on the chilli peices/ karepak leaves or ginger peices )
